When she’s not helping create gorgeous home décor, Anthropologie employee Alexis Turner has a seriously cool side hustle. With her company Poco Pink Creative Co., she uses her background in textiles to create beautifully styled weddings and events for her clients. Her efforts to network with other local creatives and vendors led to her most recent project, Boss Babes Social, which combines her passion for event design with her motto of “community over competition.” When Alexis asked BHLDN to participate in her latest Social, we jumped at the chance to be a part of her inspiring group of female entrepreneurs. In our opinion, flowers are the most important accessory of any wedding (besides wardrobe, of course!). They bring extra color, whimsy, and the most intoxicating scent to your big day. Luckily, a former BHLDN employee now runs a cut flower farm, Laughing Lady Flower Farm, near our headquarters in Philadelphia, and she provided us with seasonal blooms for this photoshoot. Kat Claar of Terrain and From Blossoms helped bring our vision to life at the Awbury Arboretum, a public park and wedding venue in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia. Parisian designer Rime Arodaky began her career as a junior designer in such renowned fashion houses as Sonia Rykiel and Dice Kayek. In 2010 she started a blog, “Lalovelist,” where she shared her design inspirations, wish lists, and musings on weddings and marriage. These days, she’s known for challenging the traditional image of the bride with her innovative designs, featuring luxe crepe and sheer lace details.
